HELP US MEET OUR Goal!

Over 80% of our fundraising goes right back into programming, because we’re dedicated to keeping as many of our offerings as possible free and accessible. Every donation of any amount counts, and we are so grateful for each and every one of you.

OUR STORY

Three years ago, FEMME HOUSE was born from a small meeting of the minds at Ableton Studios. This room of about 15 people had two major things in common — all of us were disturbed that only 3% of music producers are women, and all of us knew that something had to be done to change this problem.

So we got right to work! FEMME HOUSE started offering free workshops for women to teach the foundations of music production. That small room of fifteen people turned into a room of sixty, and continued to grow. We got even louder…telling anyone that would listen that we were working to disrupt that horrifying 3% statistic. Before we knew it, our workshops were creating a community — one that supports, empowers, and teaches — one that keeps one another safe.

This community has inspired us to innovate, to break down barriers, and to keep going when it got hard. Our community has allowed us to do this incredible work for over 3 years, and we’re more ready than ever to keep going.

But we want to give back even more — more programming, and more impact. Remember that 3% statistic? Despite how hard we’ve fought, it’s gone down to 2.5%. There’s still so much more work to be done, more courses to be offered, countless stages and lineups that need to be diversified. There are many hours of music to create before we can move the needle.

Should you wish to amplify this fundraiser with us, or if you can’t make a donation, that’s okay! If you know any folks that have wanted to learn how to produce music, please send them our way. We offer free courses and scholarships to those who need them, plus an entire curriculum for those ready to take it to the next level.

In the wise words of our co-founders LP Giobbi + HERMIXALOT, “The more you give, the most you get.”
