    As a producer / DJ / vocalist, LA native Lauren Kop has cultivated a vivid musical aesthetic, gaining respected roles within her community such as mentor and emerging talent. Blending musical styles and drawing inspiration from 80s, Y2K pop, R&B, and dance influences, Lauren has written, produced, and released multiple EPs and a full length album under the artist name mini bear.

    Passionate about community building and helping to create opportunities and representation within the world of music production, they've taught with Girl’s Rock Camp and IO Music Academy, and they are the head educator for FEMME HOUSE. An avid Ableton Live user and synth maven, Lauren has collaborated with Moog and Ableton and with years of experience and dedication to mastery of Ableton Live and music production, their passion for sharing their expertise and empowering producers has led them to teaching classes and workshops that focus on maximizing your creative potential through technology.

  • Claire Marie Lim

    ABLETON CERTIFIED TRAINER

    WORKSHOP LOCATIONS: Brooklyn, NY & Boston, MA

    Claire Marie Lim is a music technologist and electronic musician, active under her artist project dolltr!ck. An educator on faculty at Berklee College of Music, BerkleeNYC and the City University of New York, she specializes in instruction for live electronic performance, production and programming, and is an advocate of women and Asian representation in music technology. She is an Ableton Certified Trainer, Bitwig Certified Trainer, and Apple Certified Pro, and has trained and consulted for over a hundred artists from Universal Music Group, Spinnin’ Records, Monstercat, Liquicity, and more.

    In music education and arts activism, Claire has collaborated with initiatives such as Girls Rock Campaign, Beats By Girlz, Synth Library NYC, and the Queens Public Library network, and has received support from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and Queens Council on the Arts. She develops curriculum for various ages and experience levels, having worked with Splice, the International Center of Photography, Coursera and the Berklee network, among other institutions. Claire also independently runs the doll troop, a mentorship experience where K-12 girls can shadow her in electronic songwriting sessions and live shows.

    As dolltr!ck, Claire is known for her dynamic live electronic performances incorporating dreamy synths, punchy drum machines, and processed vocals, tied together by virtuosic controllerism and flairs of showmanship. Her endeavors have taken her to esteemed venues and events across the globe and on the World Wide Web, with her work in the advocacy of women and Asian representation being hailed as “shattering the glass ceiling of electronic music”, gaining recognition from the likes of iHeartRadio, Broadway World, Sofar Sounds, Spotify, and the Recording Academy.

  • Heather Stebbins

    GEORGE WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR

    Heather Stebbins (b. 1987) is a composer, technologist, synthesist, and educator based in Washington, DC, where she is a professor at George Washington University. She works with sounds created by instruments, objects, and electricity to generate new musical experiences. Really wonderful people and ensembles have performed her music across the globe, and she is grateful for that. Her new album, Olney, is available on Bandcamp and streaming services.

  • Lorna Dune

    ABLETON CERTIFIED TRAINER

    WORKSHOP LOCATION: Chicago, IL

    One of the most versatile keyboardists & producers working today, Lorna Dune is a proud advocate for the creation and performance of new music. She has been sought after as a collaborator, performer, creator and curator and has worked with some of the nation’s finest young composers and performers to create and premiere exciting new works. Having a background in classical, experimental, electronic, pop and indie music, Lorna has quickly become a go-to spokeswoman for new music for curious audiences worldwide.

    Lorna is the founding keyboardist/synthesist of the “all-star, all-female quintet” (Time Out NY) Victoire with indie-classical darling and longtime collaborator composer Missy Mazzoli. Recent seasons included the Carnegie Hall commission and premiere of Mazzoli’s Vespers for a New Dark Age, performed by the ensemble Victoire, percussionist Glenn Kotche (of Wilco) and members of vocal ensemble Roomful of Teeth. Lorna Dune arranged and co-produced the Vespers album, which was released in March 2015 on New Amsterdam Records. The New York Times called it “ravishing and unsettling”, and the album was praised on NPR’s First Listen, All Things Considered and Pitchfork. Victoire returned to Carnegie Hall in March of 2015 as part of the “Meredith Monk and Friends” concert. Their past debut album Cathedral City, released on New Amsterdam Records, was named one of 2010ʹs best classical albums by the New York Times, Time Out New York, the New Yorker and NPR.

    WORKSHOP LOCATION: Denver, CO

    Aimerie is the creative alias of bass music DJ, producer, and educator, Kaite Watson. Given her lifelong fascination with the deep sea underworld, Aimerie’s touch for crafting dark, lurking soundscapes makes sense. Now an Ableton Certified Trainer, the Denver-based musician began working with Ableton Live in 2011 to produce and perform her otherworldly interpretation of sound system music influenced by her flutist background and love for the underground. As a passionate educator, Aimerie inspires others through collaboration, group workshops and individual lessons focused on sound design, creative workflows and performance using Ableton Live.

  • Christina Horn

    ABLETON CERTIFIED TRAINER

    WORKSHOP LOCATION: Atlanta, GA

    Christina Horn is one of only 25 female Ableton Live Certified Trainers in the world. She holds a Master's Degree in Music and Composition, has over 500 dates performing as a touring musician under her belt (including festivals like Bonnaroo), dozens of record releases, and music placements in popular television shows. Besides her full-time work in television production, she also acts as a music producer and college-level educator. Christina’s passion is inspiring young women to enter the field of music production. In her free time, she gardens and plays with her Australian Cattle Dog.

  • Mari Sullivan

    ABLETON CERTIFIED Northwest Brand Manager at Ableton Inc.

    WORKSHOP LOCATION: Seattle, WA

    Mari Sullivan is the Northwest Brand Manager at Ableton Inc. and is a producer, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist currently residing in Seattle, WA. In addition to writing and performing as an indie pop/electronic artist (MariGo), Mari is passionate about teaching music production, focusing on women/trans/nonbinary students in her pursuit to overcome gender inequality and underrepresentation of women and LGBTQ people in the technical fields of music making.

    Mari Sullivan’s musical journey began at age four with classical piano. Throughout her youth she sang in choirs and community theaters and eventually received a Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Denver. Mari began using Ableton Live in 2016 to break the confines of the classical world and made a drastic shift into creating electronic music influenced by hip hop, RnB, pop, and indie rock. She releases music under the name MariGo as well as producing for a number of other Seattle-based artists and is part of the select group of Ableton Certified Trainers.

  • Kate Falconer

    WORKSHOP LOCATION: Seattle, WA

    Kate Falconer is a performer, educator and producer based in Seattle, WA. She is a Stranger Genius Award Nominee, a celebrated beat maker and producer, classical multi-instrumentalist and fierce performer at major festivals and venues across the Pacific Northwest. Working as a private instructor and teaching artist for almost 20 years has enabled Kate to share her love music, audio and digital production with people of all ages. She is specifically interested in increasing access and knowledge for people who might otherwise not have the opportunity or confidence to explore new facets of their musical experience.
